The only crew member to return from space, Victor Carrun, turns out to be nothing more than a shell for the repulsive monster that has taken possession of him. After escaping from the hospital, Victor Carrun gradually loses his human traits, making his way through the streets of London, feeding on human blood, until he is killed by a police inspector.
