The near future. An unknown disease has struck the world, turning people into marble statues. When young Alpha returns home from a party with a fresh tattoo, her mother—a doctor—realizes that her daughter may have been infected. Because of the possible illness, the girl becomes an outcast at school, while her mother does everything in her power to pull herself out of the abyss of fear.
