What connects them? Revenge. The feeling is blind and uncontrollable, which will make of any ruthless beast.

Ryu is equanimity itself. Complete alienation from the world. Even when his sick sister screams behind him, he only slowly eats his noodles. No, he wasn’t on purpose. It just happened that his life was unsuccessful. Not to hear, not to say. Just see.
He lives only by responsibility for his sister, one of the few who are always ready to be with him. After all, he needs support. “The realtor thought if I’m deaf, I don’t care. But if my sister can’t sleep, then I can’t either. ”

The second of these few is his girlfriend Cha. Another revolutionary. She can be called Ryu’s guide to this world, his second head. With those most missing language and hearing.

Jang Wook Park masterfully works with this feeling, thereby making Mr. Venegeance, one or the other. And you sympathize with each in your own way. And you hate each one in your own way.

Revenge is bad. In the name of good, good. Revenge for the good is absolutely neutral. By the end of the film, when all the points are set, you feel sympathy…. But you don’t understand to whom. Why everyone understands the title of the film differently.

The scale of cruelty increases with each scene. The blood goes in the most direct correlation with the feeling of revenge as the film progresses, which is symbolic in its own way.

If we talk about filming, then you can never stop. Here there are long doubles, absolutely crazy scenes, and the whole picture drags a train of rampant, crazy emotions. Chkhan-uk takes his viewer by the ears and immerses, like the hero, with his head in this well of pain, hatred and death. The hero here fell, reborn and again broken.

Wrong words were said about Dae-su at the wrong time and in the wrong place. How often does this happen to each of us?
