The British are peculiar filmmakers. They know how to shoot about crime, and that’s it. At least in my opinion. Comedies, action films, thrillers on a crime theme are really good for them. But in other genres, not very much. But sometimes there are really good jobs. This action movie is from this series.

I liked the beginning. We are told about the lawlessness in the Georgian outback, and it’s not immediately clear whether the guys are bad or good. then everything clears up and we are already introduced to the main hero, played by Sam Heughan. This actor is not familiar to me, but in the role of a tough intelligence officer he looked good. Further – a typical action movie. Charismatic leader of criminals performed by Ruby Rose (about her below), train hijacking, heroism and more. A very sensible action movie came out, not of the first caliber of course, but quite convincing.

The film is 2 hours long, but time does not drag on. The plot was laid out on the shelves for us, given some time for the introduction, and then purely action mixed with pretentious speeches. The interest in what was happening was enormous. Plus, the game in the government, the presence of a rat and the like is well played. The atmosphere is at a good level and was kept there until the bitter end.

The film is not just a stupid action movie where the good have to defeat the bad and that’s the end of it. The picture has a meaning, very deep and complex, which is difficult for the right person to understand. Although the criminals had their own bandit goals, the top of their actions were quite noble motives, it’s a pity that the presence of anger and bloodthirstiness in their leader outweighed everything. At some point, even the heroine Ruby Rose even feels sorry for her, who suffered a loss at the very beginning of the film and in many respects this was the reason for all this gesture.

Glavheroi in the best traditions of American cinema – bold, with humor, invincible, but in his heart is very rich in love. His line, namely his relationship with his girlfriend, really brought a lot of interesting things into the film. ‘-We are so different, but that’s why we are together,’ said the head hero. And this is really so: she saves lives, he takes them away, it is clear that from bad people, but for her, a kind soul and a bright head, it is difficult to understand. Therefore, there is a lot of misunderstanding and secrecy. And the last scenes in Paris were very touching, I even wanted to burst into tears. A real powerful ending that even overshadowed the final fight for me. A real melodrama under the wrapper of an action movie!

Ruby Rose played the main negative role, the cruel and unshakable Grace. After her last works, including Batwoman, Babe with character, Meg. A monster from the depths, it was rather unusual to see her in such a role. It looks so fragile and weak, but in fact it is powerful and dangerous. Yes, she had a role in John Wick 2, also negative, but there somehow she was to the face, and here … She played very convincingly, just a Cerberus with tits, but I want to see her in positive roles, somehow I got used to Ruby in good quality. Of the familiar faces, I also note Tom Wilkinson, the master of British cinema, who played a very small role, as well as Noel Clark, the star of the Spahn trilogy.

Bottom line – fans of action movies should get acquainted with this project. There are many shootings, fights, chases, tricks and tricks – a real action movie, with a very serious amount of blood spilled. I really liked the film, 2 hours were well spent.

Star Trek Into Darkness Reviews
After seeing the rating and reading the reviews, I was sure I’m in for an awesome movie. I have never been so wrong. The movie is, at best, a parody of the original Star Trek. It’s full of clichs and try hard characters pretending they’re the original heroes with every second sentence. The acting is awkward and childish, the story is boring and predictable, the effects are cheap and unrealistic and the soundtrack is a comedy. I almost walked out of the cinema on three separate occasions. The only emotion you will feel is a regret of the time wasted watching this. I give a high rating of five because the movie might have an appeal to 13 year old viewers who are not familiar with the original series.
