What are the ingredients for a good cartoon? Great animation, a gripping plot, not bad sound design and characters that push you to pity – that’s all you need to succeed. And ‘Prince of Egypt’ easily took that bar.

The ancient civilization of Egypt is a place where the greatest works of art were built on the bones of slaves. And it just so happens that the son of one of those slaves becomes the adopted child of the Pharaoh. “Unbelievable!” you say, and you would be absolutely right. But it’s a cartoon! And it seems that the Almighty Himself favors this child, whose basket, launched down the Nile, reaches its final destination, bypassing the hippopotamus, the crocodile, and the merchant ships. Finally, the basket is washed ashore by Pharaoh’s wife, who does not hesitate to take the boy under her wing.

The years go by. The boy, named Moses, lives happily ever after, having a good time with his crony and brother Ramses. But this wonderful time of pranks and amusement passes as soon as Ramses, the eldest of the brothers, becomes the new ‘Lord of Egypt. Moses’ eyes are opened…

The world is not so merry and unfair, and Moses is the one who, at the command of the Almighty, who had so carefully protected him as a child, must lead ‘the Jews out of the land of Egypt’. All the more so because his newfound relatives, namely his blood brother and sister, and his wife fully support him.

And in general – it is amazing that the cartoon is able to bring together two audiences – adults and children. A cartoon that I can rewatch endlessly many times.

A mercenary named Ladybug must retrieve an important case from a Tokyo train. He has no idea that every carriage is packed with assorted assassins and assassins whose targets closely overlap with his.

What surprised me was that the trio of actors had already appeared in ‘The Lost City’. But there’s a big difference: Pitt played a small part and Bullock and Tatum in the lead roles. Most liked the pair of twins (who are not twins). But, the brothers are forever good ones. They’re real fruit (in the climax, one of them survives reincarnation as an orange fruit). Aaron Taylor-Johnson is like stepping into the shoes of any gangster from ‘Kick-Ass,’ and now dynamically churns out a movie with Pitt (who also starred in Matthew Vaughn). Brian’s character Tyree Henry is obsessed with the philosophy of the ‘Thomas and His Friends’ series. Apparently, his order money goes to products based on the cartoon (in the movie, the writers are brilliant at leaving signs as stickers). So expect a fun and acrimonious discussion about who ends up in charge of Diesel on this train.

Joey King, whose character is named Little Prince (after the story by Antoine Saint-Exupery) played a girl determined to win the respect of her parent. However, her heroine has no flashbacks. Therefore, against the backdrop of colorful characters, she seems pale. Her desire to kill is aimless and callous towards her opponents. Speaking of karma. The Prince repeats the fate of his heroine for the second time, as in the previous film about wish fulfillment.

The noble revenge, as always, is performed by one who honors the tradition and honor of the family. The hero of Hiroyuki Sanada fate has led him to this moment for many years. His hero has managed to achieve the main thing, which is reliable protection for his children. True, somehow incomprehensibly his son’s wounds heal faster than Wolverine’s. Hiroyuki played a wise man, able to recognize where the friend and the enemy are.

Zazie Beetz is mercilessly scarce in this film. However, as well as Logan Lerman, who pretended to be Johnny Depp, but not in the ‘Orient Express’. And, it’s been a long time since I saw Michael Shannon as the antagonist. His ‘White Death’ turned out to be a much more confusing and unique personality. But, he will get his karma in full.

Everything else: David Litch is known for his dynamic, explosive (a hint of Theron’s ‘Blondie’) action scenes and detective element. I think the director has mixed a cocktail of Matthew Vaughn, Drew Goddard and Quentin (the plot clearly features Tarantino’s philosophy on destiny. ‘What is a miracle, Vincent?’ – Jules Winfield once asked). All the coincidences, which are clearly written by fate, lead the characters to a choice. Someone may be wrong, for which karma will reward him or her. Let’s say that if the Mandarin was on the spiritual path and fasted like Pitt’s hero, he paid attention to the details. It’s a tough question whether you turn out to be the rushing steamroller or the judicious protagonist. By the way, I love this cartoon series about Thomas (the creators inserted a favorite idea and did not go wrong with the choice). In the climax one can already feel the influence of the film ‘The Passenger’ with Liam Neeson.

I would like to note the excellent camerawork by Jonathan Sela. Lewis’s gentle and at times driving compositions draw the characters’ reckless actions in with their heads. The screenplay by Zach Olkiewicz and Kotaro Isak is wry, but gripping all the way through

Impressions: In the end, of this whole company of hitmen, only three know about karma. And fate is not to be trifled with. Karma is faster than a bullet.

Loretta Sage used to write unforgettable love-adventure novels with erotic scenes with Dash, the character in her books, who in reality and on the covers of her books is portrayed by the jock Alan. During her press tour, she is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire whose goal is to find the Crown, one of the world’s greatest treasures. Loretta thinks her crazed fan has kidnapped her by taking her literally, but soon becomes convinced that the real Lost City her husband spoke of exists. In pursuit of them rushes Alan, who rushes forward only to save her and make amends.

The cast: no, it wasn’t because of Sandra, Channing, Brad or Radcliffe that I agreed to watch this seemingly insane comedy with no serious plot. Da`win Joy Randolph has been memorable to me since ‘Selfies’ for her role as Charmonique – greeting the employees in the morning and fervently loving her son. The actress hasn’t changed one bit since 2014, and I bet her character will surprise you as much as the GG. She plays publisher Beth Hutten, invested big time in another Loretta novel. But when her friend needs help, she’ll put every cop in the world on their ear (even if they’re not moving or at all willing to deal with it outside of the U.S.), no joke.

The antagonist is the image of Daniel, who showed his talent as a villain very successfully in the sequel to ‘Illusion of Deception’. Here, his character turned out to be completely faceless. It seems that his character was underestimated as a child. That’s why he’s Abigail.

And, of course, how can you not do without a cameo by Brad, that same Pete. He plays Jack Trainer (really by the last name of Trainer!), who must have served in the special forces of superheroes, since over the course of the movie skillfully jumps a huge gridiron, blowing up and putting enemies to sleep, while Tatum in the background pretends to fight the enemies. He’s only fooling around, though, repeating the moves. If Pitt is responsible for brutality, Tatum is responsible for coolness. You can’t take your eyes off blond Jack and his long hair. With this comic character associated a lot of funny scenes.

But no less funny is Tatum – whose hero migrated to Los Angeles for a better life, and eventually became a model on the cover, forgetting about the past and his talents, which he did not develop over the years posing as a fictional character. But meeting Loretta, who’s going through some tough times, will help him realize that she’s not a stiff at all, but a woman who misses her beloved husband and needs support to get out of writer’s block.

– I just feel bad for her. Not kidnapping, but I said stupid things to her and I want to apologize. I called her a “mummy man.”

Sandra Bullock. I didn’t expect such a famous actress to star in such a, somewhat bizarre adventure, but if you put an ordinary person in her place, then all of us could find ourselves in this situation. In the middle of the ocean, on a lonely island, surrounded by thugs, with no hope of rescue, in the company of the dazed face of her cover, which she is not thrilled about, but he rushes to her, riding not on a white horse, in the company of a former warrior. But, since the Oscar winner is involved in the film, so why not call the actress (who already had experience in the comedy genre). Her Loretta didn’t get to say goodbye to her husband, and she’s had a hard time since he left, despite the support of her publisher and friends. But there seems to be something missing from her life. It’s time for her to go on vacation. I don’t know what the famous actors have done to deserve to be here. They lost at cards, owed money to some mafia or just from need of money, that’s why they star in this kind of trash. But, I wouldn’t say their participation is useless, on the contrary it does the plot a favor by fueling the ironic moments.

All else aside: I don’t think it’s too serious a plot to pretend to be serious, even in the genre of comedy. And the jokes here are really excellent, albeit with little pauses, but in the moment of Bullock’s heroine’s release, it was funny. There are some quotes from characters which must have been adopted from Mother Russia (at least, I think so): “We can eat fish there”, “And climb up the Christmas tree”. It seems that the creators and brothers Adam and Aaron Nee didn’t care for the seriousness of the story, giving us actors in the frame as if they had come to work as volunteers at a tropical resort. All the humorous means will be good and applied to the story from the lush buns and “ass” of Alan’s character to the military hottie with whom Tatum’s character is yogonizing together.

Impressions: great to watch to forget the problems and join the funny characters and their funny story.

After credits scene: in such an absurdist comedy, something like this should have happened in the after credits scene. You learn how you can be miraculously resurrected in a yoga class by transferring 10% of your brain to another. Guess what, this character is immortal.

“Speed” is an amazing movie. I watched it 10 times, but I still worry every time. Will Jack have time to catch up with the bus or will not have time, will not turn, will not jump over, will not jump over. And the most important thing is how to get out of the situation with the bomb. In general, the whole film is sitting on pins and needles, even if you know exactly what will happen and when.

I don’t know how it happened, and how Jan De Bont managed to do this, the stars probably developed this way (I hope he will not be offended), but the film does not have a single extra detail, not a single extra minute, not a single actor who played the wrong role. … By the way, about the actors.

You can relate to Keanu Reeves in different ways, but in “Speed” he gave it 100%. Good, insanely good. He does not yet have the image of the savior of mankind, while he trains on the passengers of a separate bus. He manages to calm down passengers, and to talk to the authorities, and to tell the terrorist a couple of gentle words. Well, he is heroic, of course: it is enough to remember his entrance (or jump?) Into the bus. She also smiles so that Sandra Bulok forgets to look at the road.

They say that girls in action films mostly play the main character’s girlfriends. Sandra Balock very convincingly breaks this stereotype. And how many times have we already talked about the notorious “chemistry” between Reeves and Bulok. Yes, “chemistry” is in place. When Annie and Jack are talking, and just looking at each other, you think, “Everything is clear with you guys.”

And the result is a movie for all times and absolutely for everyone (except perhaps for small children). You constantly have to remind yourself that the film was shot in 1994, but you don’t notice it at all. And in general, while watching it, it is difficult to notice something other than the film, it is so exciting.

The film by Stephen Soderbergh of Ocean’s 11 friends, at one time made an indelible impression on me. Brilliant actors, multiplied by the most interesting topic for me – a hot mix. Hearing about Ocean’s 8 friends, I was first pleased. But then, realizing that everything could be doomed to travel at the expense of the old name, I was unhappy. After watching the film, it remained in a light confusion. It seems that it was interesting to watch, but on the other hand – something was missing.

The plot tells us the story of Debbie Ocean. After serving 5 years, she leaves the prison and lays out her robbery plan for her best friend. After that, the very same 8 friends of Ocean, the professionals of their business, are gathered, and the main action takes place. I want to say the following. Firstly, the first half of the film was somewhat boring. The entire process of telling, explaining actions and so on. etc. With the development of the plot, this shortcoming disappeared, but the sediment remained. Secondly, you can not compare this tape with the original friends. All the main points of the string were lapped clean. Again, the residue remained.

One of the main advantages is a colorful cast. This is especially true of Rihanna and Helena Bonem Carter. The first though not an actress, but getting into the image and the performance of this role were ideal. Outwardly the film looked nice. Glossy plans, magnificent views, the appearance in the frame of Sharapova, Kardashian, and other stars. Operators and composers also deserve praise.

In general, it turned out a good film, if we consider it as a separate creation. The beginning of a little sags, but then everything is twisted and looks cheerful. Probably, it should be considered as a separate film, because otherwise everything will look pretty depressing. And the review will be different. But still.

After the popular adventures of villain Grew, it would be sinful not to release a film about his faithful companions – minions. These amazingly lively, emotional yellow creatures who speak Spanish-English, few can remain indifferent.

With the “Mignons” you can compare also the minor characters from “Madagascar” – penguins, with which they also shot a separate full-length cartoon. A similar plot (the origin of the characters, their growing up and blossoming), where there are several leaders (there were four in the penguins, and three in the penguins). But I must say that the penguins were designed for kids, and the “Minions” 4k ultra hd with an age limit of +6, should like both children and adults.

So, the film begins with the appearance of living beings on Earth. The minions were “programmed” to serve the evildoers. Among their hosts were dinosaurs, Dracula, Napoleon, etc. After a failure with the French leader, as in general and with others, they decide to lie to the bottom. And so they are bored and do not lose the meaning of life while the minion Kevin did not decide to go in search of a new owner, taking with him guitarist Stewart and baby Bob.

The main action of the picture takes place in 1968 first in America, and then in Britain. The spirit of that time is passed on, personally for me, wonderful. Events and characters of those times are shown (protests against the war in Vietnam, a poster with Nixon, Queen of Britain Elizabeth, “The Beatles” on the street, (the best moment for me in the whole cartoon film) is the landing of Americans on the Moon.And the main villain is Scarlet Overkill, who sounded in the original Sandra Bullock.

The minions are bribed by the fact that even if the viewer is bored for a couple of minutes while watching (and so it was a couple of times), then one is just a retort in the Spanish-English language of a yellow crank or a mischievous trick can restore the interest of the viewer.

This film does not carry any deep thoughts, in places there are frankly silly jokes (for example, jokes with hydrants or licking one minion to others). The cartoon is intended solely as a relaxing medicine. And, although the project “Mignons” 4k remux movie is already almost entirely directed only to receive money, the creators managed not to hit the dirt in the face and make a worthy prehistory of the series “Ugly I”. Cherz 2 years should appear the third part of the story about the villain Grew. Let us hope for the best.
