Tom Stall is a happy family man (wife and two children) from a small town. One day, two armed gangsters burst into his café, and Tom bravely defends his customers and deals with the criminals. He becomes a local hero and is featured on TV. But after a while, three tough guys from Philadelphia, who look like gangsters, show up and remind Tom of his past. It turns out that Tom is not who he claims to be.
