The film is based on the novel “Traumnovelle” (Dream Story) by German writer Arthur Schnitzler.

A husband, wife, and charming little girl. A friendly and peaceful family. Bill is a successful doctor with a private practice and a faithful husband. Alice is a slightly bored and very sensual young woman who wants variety. Sometimes she smokes “weed” and retreats into a world of erotic fantasies known only to her. One day, Alice tells her husband about her virtual romances, and the first crack appears in their relationship.
Bill, shocked by his beautiful wife’s confessions, distances himself from her and begins to seek adventure. But unlike his spouse, he is more attracted to reality. A chain of coincidences leads the doctor to a country castle, where mysterious events are taking place…
