Five friends become unwitting perpetrators of a car accident that kills a man. The friends decide to cover up the crime and swear never to talk about what happened. A year later, this tragic event comes back to haunt them when a mysterious killer with a hook for a hand tries to take revenge on them. To stop him, the young people turn to two survivors of a similar massacre in Southport in 1997 for help.
