Not too distant future. Special robots, known as “Labors,” have been invented for construction work. However, criminals have adapted them for combat.

To deal with this crime, a mobile police force was organized, which used “Patlabor” – a police version of construction robots equipped with a revolver cannon and an electric shock baton.

And so, we see the lives of the guys from the second division of the mobile police unfold, from their arrival there and training to combat duty.
