This is the second instalment of the film trilogy. After discovering the horrific truth about their contracts with Kyubey, the magical girls are faced with inevitable doom and despair. Sayaka Miki loses control of her Soul Gem and Kyoko Sakura sacrifices herself in an attempt to save her friend. Amidst the chaos and loss, Homura Akemi is the only one who continues to fight to save Madoka Kaname, even if it means defying fate itself and the order of the universe.
