The action takes place in the future, when science is making amazing progress in the development of virtual reality. Computer scientists created the image of an ideal criminal who escaped from their control and began to walk independently on computer networks. But this was not enough for him – he broke out into real life and began to establish his own order. The best minds, gathered to fight the criminal, come to the conclusion that only one person can stop him. Unfortunately, this man, a former policeman, is now sitting in prison. He is promised freedom in exchange for the villain’s life. There is no choice, of course, and our hero agrees.
