The Globotek Corporation has incorporated military technology into the production of toys, with one of the developers inserting state-of-the-art self-learning microprocessors into a new series of toy soldiers. As a result, evil paratroopers programmed to fight the good fantasy creatures known as Gargonites have appeared in stores. The first to encounter them was the son of the owner of a small toy store, who took the side of the Gargonites. The paratroopers, who at first did not touch the “civilians,” soon resorted to combat operations that were anything but child’s play and turned against the people. The boy, a neighbor girl, and then their parents had to join the fight. They were joined by the unfortunate developers, who realized too late what they had done. Even the peaceful Gargonites, programmed to hide, couldn’t stand it and took up arms.
