A timeless masterpiece, Buster Keaton’s great comedy. The plot is based on a book about the real heroic lives of Northern soldiers during the Civil War. They dressed up and hijacked a train to take it to the North, but they were caught and executed. Keaton, taking into account that he was filming a comedy, omitted the execution scene and changed the ending. In the film, the Northerners are pursued by a lone train engineer, Johnny Grey (Buster Keaton), who wants to return not only the train, but also the love of his life, Annabelle Lee (Marion Mack).
