Kasumi, the princess of a Japanese ninja clan; Tina, a professional wrestler; Christie, an equally skilled thief; and a motley crew of other characters receive an invitation to an annual martial arts tournament called D.O.A. The participants each have their own reasons for entering the competition, and their goals vary widely, but tournament organizer Donovan has his own plans. He wants to use the guests to create a superweapon.
