Captain Lam (Danny Lee) is a seasoned police officer nearing retirement. But he has no intention of simply walking away he wants to do something meaningful one last time. Fate brings him together with Conan Lee once again, and together they find themselves drawn into a dangerous case that drags them deep into the heart of Hong Kong’s underworld.

The sequel to the first film features a different cast and a different atmosphere: instead of Chow Yun-fat’s electric chemistry, here we have a weary but unbroken veteran who has something to prove. Director Lau Kar-Leung once again doesn’t skimp on the action the stunts, chases, and hand-to-hand combat scenes are executed at a high level for their time.
