Film description

The police in Hong Kong and China, together with Interpol, are preparing a large-scale operation to eliminate an international gang of drug traffickers. The idea of the operation is to get one of the leaders of the drug spree out of a Chinese prison and through him to reach the top of the organized pyramid.

Who will be able to carry out such a daring and risky plan, if not the Superpolice. Kevin Cheng, familiar to us from the first series of the film, for some wrongdoing, now staying in the post, is called to carry out an unusual Interpol operation. The director of Chinese Interpol, a charming captain, is assigned to support him.

4k movies reviews
If a man is a professional in his field, his fame quickly reaches those who are in great need of him. And if a policeman is considered almost invincible, his merits are actively praised by his superiors, and a dangerous mafia activates in the world, then everyone begins to expect a lot from one man. Now a superpolice officer from Hong Kong, where criminals are no longer at risk of committing their dirty deeds, will have to face a serious opponent, again risking their lives and in the end prove to the arrogant Interpol, that he really is the best of the best.

With a break of four years, superpoliceman Jackie returns to the screens, ready to catch any bandit himself. This time, Jackie Chan’s place in the director’s chair was taken by Stanley Tong, who had previously managed to make only a few films in the action genre. But he was faced with the difficult task of matching the level of the talented creator of the story. And Tong managed to make a good sequel, introducing new characters and giving a chance not only to the then famous Jackie, but also to other actors to prove themselves.

“- Are you that super cop from Hong Kong?
– There are plenty of super policemen in Hong Kong. They’re at every turn. They’re like groceries in a supermarket.”

Invariably, the main character is policeman Jackie, who has settled down considerably since his past adventures. He has reconciled with his charming girlfriend, and his work has recognized his merits and stopped reproaching him for his recklessness. But he still won’t be able to live a quiet life – his heart will be restless if he doesn’t go on with his business. And once again Jackie is on a dangerous mission, which must also remain a mystery. According to the laws of the genre, everything goes wrong many times, the main character is on the verge of death, but thanks to his talent he proves that there really are cool cops in Hong Kong. Since directing was no longer Jackie Chan’s purview, he gave himself completely to his role. As soon as his character goes on a mission and until the final credits he shows first-class stunts, fighting techniques and even finds a little time to joke, so that his policeman does not seem too serious and harsh.

The character of the Interpol captain appears for the first time in this story – a confident and perfectly prepared girl Yong, who is well prepared for any extreme conditions of work. Her delicate figure and good-looking appearance can easily confuse criminals, and in a few seconds they will be disarmed and taken at gunpoint. Actress Michelle Yeoh perfectly showed her acting talent and was the perfect company for Jackie Chan. The two of them can accomplish any risky mission.

The official girlfriend of the main character is still in trouble. May more than once begins to scandalize, but she loves him too much to ignore his petty deceptions. Without actress Maggie Chung, this movie might not have been considered a continuation of the exploits of the brave policeman, because she is one of the few who consistently appears in all three parts.

The last film is not inferior to the previous ones in terms of fights, chases, shootings, explosions and other spectacular moments. Apparently, the budget allowed to make the movie incredibly tense and vivid at the expense of visual effects. The protagonist somewhat deviates from his trademark style, for the first time showing us such a large-scale shooting, where Jackie is quite good (and very funny) with firearms. Also, more than once he has to almost fly to complete the stunt the way he was meant to. And again he gets injured, but his fortitude allows him to shoot the film to the end and thus leave behind this story, which is a significant stage in his work both as a director and as a peerless actor.
