A good-natured fat man, a bachelor, Uncle Buck (John Candy) is a jack of all trades. Caring for his neighbors is his calling. Uncle Buck considers his nephew and niece, who have settled in his house, a gift of fate. On them he pours all the unrestrained love and boiling energy. Broken washing machine? Uncle Buck will take care of the laundry himself, only splashes in all directions. If your pet dog is hungry, Uncle Buck will feed him five times a day. The only trouble is that there is no one to look after Uncle Buck himself.
