A man with no name is hired by the people of a small town to protect them from three bandits who have just been released from prison, where they were imprisoned for crimes committed in this very town.
4k movies reviews
I’ve always been surprised by some of the synopses for movies. It’s as if the authors of the movie they’re writing the synopsis for just haven’t seen it.
It’s the same with ‘The Tramp’! Well, the man with no name was not the sheriff of the town of ‘Lago’! Sheriff Douglas was killed and buried, though they forgot to write his name on his grave. These characters are also played by different actors.
The plot of this western is much deeper and more interesting than the usual revenge against bandits and cowardly townspeople. The townspeople, no one but the bandits were not even going to get revenge: Eastwood’s hero did everything he could so that this time they could stand up for themselves. However, cowardice took over again.
The Man With No Name is beautifully expressed in the words of Sarah: ‘the dead don’t rest without a marker of some kind’ – ‘the dead can’t rest until someone does something good’. And that is why the residents of the town are afraid of strangers (again, according to Sara). It is also worth noting that it is not for nothing that the episode in which the sheriff curses the townspeople for inaction and cowardice is repeated twice in the film, which gives rise to the idea that it was the Nameless One who was sent to the townspeople as a punishment.
It is ‘some kind’ that the Nameless Man has come to do, while remembering to treat some of the townspeople as they deserve to be treated. And with a peculiar sense of humor.
There is definitely something mystical about ‘The Tramp’. Almost all of the actions of the nameless hero, from the strange revenge for the brutally murdered sheriff to forcing the residents to paint the entire town red (infernal).
