4k movies reviews
The film ‘Dead Heat’, or as it is also called ‘Dead Cop’, directed by Mark Goldblatt and released in 1988, I liked. Recently, I have been drawn to watch a few not modern films, but those films shot even earlier than 1999. Why I chose this number, I do not know. I just always thought that a lot of interesting films were made back in those years. And I stumbled upon this picture by accident. Decided not to miss out. However, to be honest, I was attracted by the fact that this film is in the horror genre, and the plot lured me. I wanted to see what else they came up with.
The picture begins like an ordinary action movie. Two masked robbers arrive and start robbing a bank. The police immediately arrive at the scene of the crime and open fire on the violators, but nothing is done to them from the bullets, as if they are immortal. In the end, one of the policemen, who is the main character, in a simple way destroys two unusual and immortal robbers. A little later, together with his partner, he goes on the trail of a scientist who, using some kind of giant thing, treats people with a special current, after which they become invulnerable. Well, how can a policeman, who is also mortal, defeat all these villains? The answer is simple – sneak into the laboratory and become immortal!
In my opinion, the film is remembered from the first viewing. Everything seems to be simple, the budget is not chic, at that time they didnât do special effects, but still everything was done just fine! I mean by special effects in this film, all these explosions, chases, and so on, also unusual transformations that are also present here. And all the little things are given special attention. Personally, I liked most of all the struggle of an already immortal policeman with the same immortal, but no longer policemen, people whom he turned into such scientists. And the idea of ââthe film, if you think about it, is not bad. And it was very well embodied on the screens. Thanks!
The result is a memorable film about an immortal policeman who is obliged to stop the scientist and prevent the victims of his experiment from robbing all the banks in the end. Worth a look.
