Film description

On June 6, 1944, the largest military invasion (as well as confrontation) the world had ever seen began. Day D” tells an epic story about the preparation and implementation of the Allied landings in Normandy. It is the story of the defense of the Western Front by the German army and the complex and deadly secret war between men and women in France and continental Europe.

The film brings dramatic and outstanding examples of courage and sacrifice, joy and despair, love and treason. Planning for the invasion of June 6 took two years and cost thousands of lives. It involved deception of astounding courage. Both the preparation and the events and actions of the day itself relied on the free choice of many, and the nerves of some. “Day D explores the intricate mosaic on both sides – presenting events through the eyes of the men and women who were there and telling us their extraordinary stories.

4k movies reviews
Because they had three weaknesses – Honor, Debt and Homeland…
Writing this review with a heavy heart, tears covering my eyes, just can’t get over it. And not because the film is so sad, but because in two days (April 29 and 30), there were no two amazing actors who played in this film. Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. They died with a difference of one day. God, I can’t believe it. All India and all the Indomans are in great mourning. It’s not just very offensive, it’s very painful, it’s like two very close people who have passed away, who for years and decades have been giving the audience joy, smiles, laughter and sometimes tears and feelings.
Because of the loss of Irfan Khan, whom I respect and love very much (I don’t want to write – I did, because I love, and will always love), my heart just breaks. A brilliant actor, original and unique, from that category of unique actors that really are so few. Irfana has always put and is putting on a par with such masters and boulders of Indian cinema as Raj Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Smith Patile, Nana Pathekar, Nasiruddin Shah. Just no words, just tears. I love Rishi Kapoor too, and I respect him. Any film with his participation is a joy to the soul and the heart. Well, how’s that? Well, why them, and why now? How is it now without them? Indian cinema has lost two more diamonds, the place of which will now remain empty forever…
I saw it because of Irfan and Rishi. The movie really hit me. I was watching it from the start. The bomb movie. The actors were in full swing, and there was no need to wait for any other, from such masters. It’s brilliant.
Irfan Khan, this actor isn’t gonna change the details of the movie or the class. And then he played brilliantly. And his torment. You have to see this, so much pain in the eyes… Irfan is a big-letter actor. It’s a pity that this happened to his character, but I think that his act at the end of the film, perhaps, was the only option right for him in this situation.
Arjun Rampal – also played a great lone wolf, a man whom no one knows. But love, though tragic, catches up with him. But it’s his fate that even that was denied him.
Huma Qureshi is an explosives agent who can kill. Played skillfully, with no kinks and kinks. It’s the first time I’ve seen her, but she’s done her part very well, in the top five.
But, Rishi Kapoor has stunned me again and won me over. It’s his role on the slope of the years to play these characters. That villain cynic. He doesn’t appreciate or respect anyone, the main thing is to make him feel good. When he was young, he played the same roles, and now he has revealed the villain’s role, and it suits him 200%.
Shruthi Hasan – brilliantly played a girl in love, a girl without a name. She was able to show love… not playful, but sincere.
The film is definitely worth watching…
I took it in my piggy bank and I’ll watch it again. The actors have played strong roles in such a strong film. Look who hasn’t watched it, you won’t regret it.
The film is deep, with meaning, not everyone will understand it, it’s not entertaining, but I like them more. And Irfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor and Arjun Rampal met my expectations doubly. That’s a great game. The girls liked it, too. Well done.
The movie is great, I just “swallowed” it. And if I could, I’d give the film a diamond Oscar. Missing a movie with two such genius actors playing together, it’s just not right.
