Rapper D.J., and part-time pimp, is trying to organize the recording of his first album, with help from various Memphis acquaintances. This may be his first and last chance to make something of himself in the hip-hop world, so when he learns that rap superstar Skinnie Black is coming to his neighborhood, D.J. decides to push his best “product” to get Skinnie’s attention.

There! Here it is, a true masterpiece of filmmaking! One of the best Hip-Hop movies of the last few years. The direction is amazing, there are no flaws. The soundtrack just knocks you down from the first seconds of a quality beat!

Terrence Howard played professionally as always, this role was created especially for him, the other would not have coped, I think. The plot turns on at once, it is impossible to tear yourself away from the screen, everything is at the highest level! A real story about a real guy who wanted to get out of all this shit, in which he is mired, with the help of music, namely hard rap.

Also pleasantly surprised Luda (Ludacris), a good role, it’s a pity only that a little we showed him, but still well done!
In general, this movie should be seen by any person who respects hip-hop. Even if you are not a supporter of such music, you should watch it anyway, there is something to see and think about. Such a movie should not be missed. Moreover, it was nominated for Oscar in 2006.
