Once upon a time there was a calm, not very successful businessman named Fernand and did not grieve, as they say. And this guy had a best friend. Yes, not simple, but the most important mafia.
And then one day this mafioso decided to die, and just before his death he asked his non-criminal sidekick Fernand to look after his daughter Patricia, and, at the same time, the whole gangster empire.
Fernand took everything as it should – he in nature decided to take all matters into his own firm hands. But the former friends of the dead “king” were not at all going to show their solidarity with such a stupid dying expression of will and declare war on the “heir” …
4k movies reviews
Black and white photography of the 60s: the play of light and shadow. The sequence of shots: Fernand leaves behind the camera, a “boom” is heard, next we see a bandit lying unconscious. Despite the fact that this film is a comedy, its picture and performance does not differ much from criminal detectives, in which Lino Ventura can most often be seen. Therefore, comic moments look especially funny and natural.
Especially in this film, I like the scene where Fernand, after they fire at a truck with goods that he personally took to deliver, when he gets home, he discovers that the named niece has arranged a party.
– Where are you from? – the girl is surprised, looking at the holes in his jacket.
-From friends.
-Have fun with the flamethrower?
The party in the living room continues, and behind the wall, a gangster showdown begins. Drunken students burst into the kitchen – a place of negotiations, demanding more drinks, which are almost gone. Even gangsters are content with apple cider vinegar. One of them was smashed in earnest. “It’s not just apple juice,” another remarked. Here the student party takes a completely different turn.
Many moments of juxtaposition of criminal and ordinary life in this film are reminiscent of the Oscar mafia comedy of 1991. The butler opens the doors, distributes sandwiches to the guests, and keeps the revolver in a cookie jar, just in case.
Monsieur Fernand meets his future non-criminal relative at the house, while his friends arrange fire on enemies right in the garden. Shots fired, plaster raining down on their heads and shoulders.
-Termites, – Fernand smiles in excuse, – Very gluttonous.
