I’ve been waiting for this movie, our whole fandom has been waiting for this movie! If the first movie was a kind of plug, or just an introduction to Sonic, then for this movie, we were placing huge bets. We were expecting adventure, lore, and an explanation of things that the first movie failed to explain! Did the movie live up to our expectations? I think more yes than no!

Without any major spoilers, I would like to say that there are plenty of illogical and weird moments in the movie! Sometimes it’s funny, and sometimes you think, why did they do that? The movie is directed more at the children’s audience, and it can be seen with the naked eye, but I think that even the older viewers will appreciate this work! At least there are no more fart jokes. And thank you for that!

I really like how neatly Paramount uses the canon and lore of the gaming universe! In fact, they didn’t reinvent the wheel, but they didn’t write by copy! All those questions I had when watching the first movie – went away. The sequel really gave them all the answers! True, there are new questions, but I think in the future they will answer them too! After all, a serial about Knuckles has already been announced, and even a third film. Here we should just watch, because the events and the story in the Sonic universe will be different from the gaming canon, so it will be really interesting to watch)

The story itself, which is told in the movie, can be called an adaptation of the games ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’ and ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles’! You can see the effort, you can see the zeal, and it’s really interesting to watch, the story is full of action, interesting dialogues and new characters. And the characters essentially change over the course of the film, though not significantly, but you can see the progress! Sonic is still the same kid, but he’s learned his lesson, and I don’t know, maybe in the threequel we’ll actually see a slightly gilded hedgehog! However, the middle of the movie gave a sag, though there are interesting moments in it, which explained the illogic in the last movie, however, it was boring to watch, I really got bored and just started to think, is the movie really dragged out? It’s like 2 hours long! That’s not too long! But the situation was resolved, there was interest in the film, and the ending was just fire! It went like I didn’t expect! Although how I didn’t expect it, I basically knew. Since it’s hard to be in fandom and not catch spoilers! Maybe then, there would have been more emotion. And the scene after the credits, be sure to watch the scene after the credits, includes a huge wait mode, as the story *with what’s in that scene*, is considered the best story of all the Sonic games! We’ll have to wait.

Making a little summary, I would like to say that the movie itself, I think many people will like, yes, the critics were not thrilled, but I think the average viewer, at least just like it, and fans, they just love it! I, as it happens, can’t call the movie perfect, but I liked it! Expectations were a little different, although I tried not to overestimate them, BUT I am at least not disappointed! I’m satisfied, I really want to review this movie! If you liked the first movie, this one will definitely do! In any case, you can see the progress! We’ll be waiting for even cooler projects!
