Jason State and action films are synonymous these days. Since the beginning of the 2000s, this bald head has been shooting, running away and grimly looking into the soul of its enemies. Guy Ritchie, although he revealed this famous actor to the world, never filmed him in action films. Now is the time to correct this misunderstanding.
Guy Ritchie decided to shoot not just a linear action game, where the hero of State will take revenge on someone, but to aim at a whole remake of the French film “The Collector”. As in the original, in Human Wrath, a man named H gets a job as a cash collector in one of the firms. She tolerates hard times: lately, robbers intend to take another million evergreens more and more often. H copes with his tasks with a bang, so the team is maturing quite a natural question: who is this newcomer? I will not run further – a minefield of spoilers, it is very easy to blow up, and there is no need to.
Human Wrath is an exemplary action movie, very, very complex. The script slips individual episodes very neatly, divides the picture into equal chapters. This approach allows you to keep a simple intrigue until the end credits.
As for the battle scenes, Guy Ritchie has honed his skill as a battle director in previous works. He’s not trying to play realism here – the wrong kind of film. If you want to see dynamic gunfights, then compliance with all the laws of physics is not so necessary.
Perhaps for the first time in his career, Richie visually made a very traditional movie, without any editing gimmicks. Everything rests solely on the narrative, Statem’s brick face and the overall oppressive atmosphere.
This picture is certainly not a new stage in the work of the director and, even more so, of Jason State. Nevertheless, this is a solid and twisted action – moderately brutal. Human Wrath is a high-quality genre work and a director’s experiment. Such an orthodox action movie is not exactly seen in his filmography.
