Detective Bowden arrives on the scene of a suicide: an office worker has jumped out of a skyscraper window. The story is not a simple one, as it has many strange components. While the police are dealing with the death of the worker, a new incident occurs. Five visitors to the same building get stuck in the elevator. The special services keep in touch with those trapped in the elevator and try to fix the problem. During the work, strange things start to happen in the elevator: every time the lights go out, something happens. First, a girl is injured, claiming to have been bitten by someone, and then a mirror shatters, a shard of which hits a man’s jugular vein… The building’s security guard, the religiously inclined Ramirez, sees in everything that has happened the machinations of evil forces punishing people for their deeds. And you can’t say he’s wrong. The dead man was a cunning mattress salesman, and the wounded girl was a money-hungry heiress to a large fortune. Besides them in the elevator was an old lady obsessed with kleptomania, a security guard with a criminal record and a former U.S. Army man who fought in Afghanistan….
