The new home of divorced Meg Altman and her daughter Sarah is broken into by three burglars looking for hidden money. Suffering from a fear of open spaces, Meg locks herself and Sarah in a secret hideaway, the “Fear Room.” This safe-like room has everything you need to survive a crisis: water and food supplies. But to be here is to put yourself in great danger, because this is the room the intruders are looking for. Leading with them a kind of cat-and-mouse game, Meg follows the bandits with the help of special video cameras installed in the house.
