The authors of the movie managed to achieve a balanced combination of intrigue, spicy “black” comedy and caustic social satire. They managed to combine the narrative and dynamism of detectives of the 40’s, and emotionally intense style of thrillers of the early 70’s. The world in which the characters live is a phantasmagoric world where there are no laws, where truth and lies are not always distinguishable, where the majority leads a miserable lifestyle, and prosper a few, clever and unceremonious. At the center of events are three artistic crooks, whose fates turned out to be closely connected with each other. They are the spawn of this strange world, and are used to its conventions and intricacies. But they also found themselves in a confusing, dangerous situation and are forced to find a way out of it.
