The grim tale of secret service agent Richard Chance (William L. Petersen), who stops at nothing to catch counterfeiting killer Eric Masters (Willem Defoe). Director William Friedkin, known for The French Connection, sets all the action on the west coast of America. Exciting car chases and impressive special effects make the movie tense and entertaining, but the main events are often overshadowed.
