In the town of Barrow, Alaska—the northernmost settlement in the USA and far removed from the rest of civilization—the polar night is about to set in for an entire month, and most of the residents are rushing to the airport. Meanwhile, young Sheriff Oleson, who is going through a separation from his wife, discovers that unknown assailants have stolen and burned cell phones and slaughtered all the local huskies. It turns out that local vampires are preparing a bloody raid on Barrow as soon as the last ray of sunlight disappears behind the mountains.
