Police pilot Frank Murphy is assigned a new experimental helicopter called the “Blue Thunder.” Driven by curiosity and a sense of duty, he uncovers the true motives behind the project—motives that have nothing to do with ensuring the safety of Los Angeles residents. And since high-ranking officials from the Department of Defense are behind it all, Murphy realizes he’ll have to play for high stakes.
