Jack Nicholson’s star rose following his role in the 1969 film “Easy Rider”. In the film, he plays Robert Dupree, an oil worker living in a trailer with his girlfriend, Ryatt. Robert decides to head to the West Coast to live with his ailing father. The plot revolves around Robert’s journey home. The film’s meandering style allows the characters’ personalities to unfold and highlights the subtlest nuances of the actors’ performances.
