Count Karstain, obsessed with Satanism, resurrects Mircalla, who turns him into a vampire. A wave of deaths sweeps through a nearby village. Gustav, the leader of a Puritan community, leads his people on a quest to find and destroy the source of the misfortune. One of his twin nieces, Frida, falls victim to the count, but the innocent Maria ends up in Gustav’s dungeon in her place.
