The American village of Midwich is visited by aliens. Under their influence, the villagers suddenly fall into a long sleep. As a result of the aliens’ visit, several villagers give birth to similar children exactly nine months later, at the same hour. The grown-up babies differ from ordinary children by their pale appearance, they have platinum hair and cobalt-colored eyes, besides they are smarter than their peers, but do not show any emotions. Strange children bring only misfortunes to the villagers and scare even their own parents: they can read minds and have unusual mental properties….
