Sixteen-year-old Ginger and fifteen-year-old Bridget are sisters and best friends. One day in the woods, Ginger is attacked by a monstrous creature she has never seen before. After the ordeal, the girl recovers physically quickly, but Bridget is convinced that something is wrong with her sister, especially when Ginger develops some very strange obsessions.
