The year is 2065. The Earth was attacked by phantom monsters from space, which cannot be resisted. Translucent monsters, more like hallucinations, have already exterminated most of humanity, and soon their dominance over the planet will become absolute. The fate of the world is in the hands of a handful of daredevils – the scientist Aki Ross, Dr. Sidi and the technician captain Edwards, who enter the last battle with the alien evil spirits.

Without exaggeration, one of the most ingenious creations in the film industry. And it is completely incomprehensible how such an amazing work, even if it was done entirely with the help of computer technology, failed at the box office. So what if the characters are drawn, the plot is not completely clear, but Japanese directors did the Final Fantasy. The main thing is that in terms of the beauty and scope of such three-dimensional (cartoon) films, no one else has done and will do it very soon. This is a work of art that demonstrates the possibilities of cinema of the future, when living actors can be replaced by computer analogs, and when any imagination of the creators will be possible with the help of the latest technologies.
In addition to the unique and extremely beautiful visuals, in the ‘Final Fantasy’ there was a place for a love story, a very good action game and memorable phantom invaders. In addition, the computer beauty of the main character Aki has no equal, and in general, everything that happens on the screen for more than 1.5 hours is simply amazing. Maybe the film lacks the dynamics and suddenness of what is happening, and at times it resembles a technological demo video. But this does not spoil the general impression, this has not yet been done.
The plot is absolutely fantastic, but it is quite beautiful – and battles with phantoms, and dialogues, and emotions that three-dimensional characters convey no worse than living actors, everything here is at the highest level. It’s even scary to imagine what we will see in decades on even better technologies. The story of love and self-sacrifice also does not allow you to call ‘Final Fantasy’ a regular demonstration or a beautiful cartoon. It’s just that Final Fantasy’s universe is too vast to fit into one movie. And by the way, in comparison with the latest blockbusters, which have more budgets and less originality, ‘Final Fantasy’ looks like a smart, beautiful science fiction with good philosophy. Everyone should see this!
My word is a brilliant, extremely beautiful piece of interactive art of the 21st century. Perhaps ‘Final Fantasy’ is a glimpse into the already near future of cinema.
