Favorite childhood movie, huh … or a cartoon? Space Jam is a multi-film that combines cartoons and real people. This picture is the third in such a genre in a row after such multi-films as: ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ and ‘Parallel World’. And we can safely say that Space Jam is a worthy continuation of this line.
The beginning of the film takes us back to the distant summer of 1973, where we see little Michael, yes, the very same Michael Jordan, whom everyone knows these days. It is he who is one of the main characters of this multi-film.
The main event of this film is the dispute between good and evil cartoons, which they solve with the help of a basketball game, and why not? Of course, you will have the honor of watching the different tricks of one and the other team, but the main event will be the involvement of Michael Jordan, the best NBA player of all time, in this story, but how, who else, if not he, can protect the dignity of American cartoons?
All the actions of the film take place in 1993-96, just after the death of Jeffrey, the father of Michael, a professional baseball player. It was during these years that Michael left professional basketball and tried himself in the role of a baseball player, which we see in the film. Although this film is a fairy tale, everything looks so real that you involuntarily think that Michael’s return to the NBA is connected precisely with the events of this film.
Excellent acting, and what is most surprising, even the acting of athletes, gives the audience a pleasure. Many famous athletes took part in the film, such as Mike himself, Larry Bödr, Charles Barkley and many others. And the characters of ‘Looney Tunes’ do not require description, everyone has seen them, and in this animated film they are especially good.
