The authors of one of the most infamous Oscar nominees for Best Animated Film decided that it was necessary to forge the iron while it was hot, so a tortured sequel to The Boss Baby was born in all respects.
What has changed since the first part? Absolutely nothing. The sequel continues to play on the theme of family values. At times he even does it successfully, because the deep messages coming from the screen carry a positive and correct connotation. The problems lie elsewhere.
At the center of the story are still often annoying characters who practice controversial humor. The plot as a whole, and most of the scenes in particular, are practically sucked out of their fingers, since the authors of the cartoon could not figure out how to logically continue the story of the first part. As a result, they spit on the concept of the world they created earlier, and the audience gets an absurd spectacle, which is a set of colorful and noisy content.
In the piggy bank of the creative group, it is worth adding the visual component, which in this case was definitely not saved. If in the recent restart of Spirit from the same DreamWorks the level of animation was at the level of not the most expensive TV projects, then the second Boss-Baby Sucker offers a rich picture full of details, which tries with maximum efficiency to maintain the madness prescribed in the script.
Fans of the original will most likely be satisfied, everyone else can safely bypass the sequel. The good moments of the cartoon are not able to surpass its shortcomings. However, they are not something unique, and their replacement can be found in dozens of films, in all respects surpassing the next meaningless project of the animation division of DreamWorks.
