Summer 1963. 17-year-old Francis, nicknamed Baby, is on vacation with her parents at a resort hotel, where she meets Johnny, a handsome professional dancer. As if bewitched by sexual rhythms and unrestrained movements of “dirty dancing” in the style of rhythm and blues, Baby becomes Johnny’s student and partner in dancing and in love.

I saw this film for the first time a very long time ago, I was probably about seven years old then. As a child, this film looks like a real fairy tale with no frills, beautiful and tender, with amazing dances and sincere feelings.
A wonderful melodrama that ends like many such tales. A light, sophisticated love story of a serious and intelligent girl Baby and a dirty dancer named Johnny. I want to say that then I really liked the bright, well-shown images of the main characters, with great success and talent embodied by Jennifer Gray and Patrick Swayze. Despite the fact that Jennifer was somewhat older than her character, it is quite difficult to notice. In the film, we see a creature who believes in sincere feelings and cannot but conquer the viewer, even with the flaws inherent in any person. And what can I say now about Patrick and his hero, who need not be spoken to in order to cause real admiration.
I really like dancing in this film, such as I have never seen before and after watching this film in cinema related to dancing. Everything was done just fine, and the efforts of the main and secondary dancing characters were not in vain. Costumes can be added to the dances, inexpensive, rather unpretentious, but suitable.
The film was shot on a small budget, but in any case, it is worth noting a fairly high-quality embodiment of a good idea in life. And, unlike most modern American (and not only) melodramas, this tape really has it. Yes, even if it is met quite often, but still good. A thought about love, about what can be achieved in life, if you want it, about a good family. Yes, even though there are completely different people in our Francis family, they are one, they definitely have something in common. Despite some estrangement of the mother and father, which can be traced here and there, they all really love each other. As relatives, people close to each other.
Yes, this movie will not make you think about problems of a universal scale. This movie is a worthy representative of its genre, good, of sufficient quality, giving pleasant minutes to watch. I really like this film without vulgarity, cruelty, blood and meat, I like it as a movie that conquered not only a child’s soul, but also a slightly matured soul.
