4k movies reviews
This is a film about ordinary boys. They went to school, worked at a gas station, went to the movies, loved cars and, like all boys, fought. Everything was as usual, not good, but usual. Until one night …

If Dallas hadn’t taken Ponyboy and Johnny to the movies, if they hadn’t met Cherry and Marsha, if Ponyboy hadn’t run away from home, if they had time to escape. And there are many more such, if … None of this would have happened, but the paths of fate are inscrutable. There was a fight, Ponyboy and Johnny were attacked by Soks. They defended themselves, and Johnny had a knife … Just one night, which changed the fate of all heroes.

“Last night we lay in a clearing and looked at the stars.” – Ponyboy.

“I killed a guy last night! He is not more than seventeen years old! Would you like to live with it! ” – Johnny.

How to live with it? Clench your teeth and live, because you know that someone needs you and must live for the sake of others. There are many more dilemmas about life and death in the film. Ponyboy and Johnny will have to make a lot of difficult decisions, which, at times, are beyond the power of even adults.

This is a film about true friendship, loyal friends, blood ties, victories and defeats. A film about life. It’s easy to watch and seems to be very simple from the start. But this is not the case. The questions raised in the film will not lose their relevance as long as people feel, empathize and are alive, real.

This story could have happened anywhere and to anyone. And there are equally many such “outcasts” both in Russia and in the United States. The film does not say about the further fate of the heroes, but I really want to believe that with each new day their life will only get better, nothing can break them. They deserve it.

All the actors played in a very natural way, with a little bit of excitement, and most importantly, without overplaying. Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, Diane Lane and Tom Cruise. Unfortunately, not all of them are with us. But there is this film and many others, and they will remain in our memory forever young, gambling, they still have so many interesting roles ahead, because this was only the beginning.

Now 70-80 years are already exotic. Confrontation between gangs, drive-in cinemas and just the atmosphere of that time. All this, combined with excellent directing, script and acting, makes watching “Outcasts” an enjoyable pastime.

The Outcasts are almost 30 years old now, but despite this, the film has not lost its relevance. And you will never regret watching it. Such films are no longer made.

We must fight for our life, make it happy. Fight and never give up.
