Nancy, Glen, Tina and Rod, teenagers living in a provincial town on Elm Street, have the same nightmares. Freddy Krueger, a maniac with a disfigured face, wearing a dirty red-and-green sweater and a gray hat, terrifying with sharp blades sticking out of his glove, seems to dwell in dreams, but kills in reality. The mystery of this killer is revealed when Nancy learns from her mother that Krueger has put to death many innocent children’s souls, and he was burned at the stake.
