An anthology consisting of five short stories. A father sees his son looking at a magazine with horror comics. He takes the “harmful” magazine away from him, throws it in the trash, and sends the boy to bed. Suddenly, the boy sees the good-natured face of a ghost in the window, who calls him to come with him. He leads him down the street straight to the trash can, where the magazine lies….
The first story is called “Father’s Day.” The family is sitting around the dinner table waiting for Aunt Bedelia. The aunt killed her father a few years ago for having a holiday called Father’s Day where he kept yelling: “Where’s my birthday cake, you stupid bitch!?” while she labored in the kitchen. Bedelia couldn’t take it anymore and hit her dad in the head with a marble ashtray. Now every year on this holiday Bedelia goes to her father’s grave to make amends. And then on one of these days, the pope rises from the grave with the cry, “Where’s my cake!”…?”.
The title of the second story is “The Lonely Death of Geordie Verill.” Gas station owner Jordy Verill witnesses a meteorite crash near his home. He begins to imagine the money he could sell it for to a local college. But by carelessness he touches the meteorite, after which the very real vegetation begins to grow on his body…
The third story is called “The Tide.” Richard Vickers discovers that his wife Becky has a lover named Harry. Richard goes to him and takes him to the ocean shore. There he buries both lovers in the sand so that only their heads stick out. The coming tide should bring them a slow but imminent death. But Richard could not even suspect that Becky and Harry will rise from oblivion to take revenge …
The fourth story is entitled “The Chest”. A university janitor discovers a chest hidden under the stairs. It is labeled with the Arctic expedition of 1834. The janitor tells Professor Dexter Stanley about the strange find, and they open the chest. A monster crawls out and kills the janitor. Dexter runs away from the lab in terror and meets another professor, whom the monster mistakes for a second course. Leaving the walls of the university Dexter turns to his friend Henry for help. He immediately gets an idea how to teach his wife Wilma, who constantly wipes her feet on him. He puts sleeping pills in Charlie’s glass and goes to the university, leaving Wilma a note in which he asks her to follow him …
The fifth story is titled “They Crawl All Over You.” Millionaire Upson Pratt has a terrible hatred of bugs and other insects. But one day cockroaches appear in his unusually clean apartment. Upson panics and calls the epidemic control people. But the cockroaches keep coming and coming from every crevice …

The creator of the legendary movie ‘Night of the Living Dead’ invites you to the pages of a children’s comic book, where a cute, cartoonish and harmless looking skeleton, will provide you with a whole kaleidoscope of horrors. One of the most original and unusual adaptations of Stephen King, consisting not of 5 novellas as it may seem…
‘Father’s Day’. An oddball daughter, well drunk, comes to the cemetery, to the grave of her ‘good’ daddy, on Fathers’ Day holiday. Recalling her not-so-good past (she fractured her father’s skull with an ashtray a few years ago), she witnesses her long-dead father rise from the grave with a silly request: where’s my cake, Bidelli?
‘The Lonely Death of Geordie Veril’. Starring, maybe not a great actor, but a really great writer – Stephen King. Playing an oddball farmer, he hopes to get what he thinks is a big reward for a meteorite that fell on his property, but instead begins to grow, more and more, some kind of weed.
‘Tide’. A brutal killer, played by Leslie Nielsen, buries a guy and his girlfriend in the sand hours before high tide, who are killed when the tide comes in. Even the dead can take revenge.
‘Something Under the Stairs’. Under the stairs they find an ancient box that is a hundred years old, no less – in it is a bloodthirsty monster with the only desire – to satisfy its hunger… Taking advantage of the situation, a cruel husband gives his drunkard wife to the monster to eat, and confident in his impunity throws the box with the monster into the river.
‘Revenge’. A professor with murder on his conscience receives a curse from the murdered man’s wife: ‘May you be eaten by cockroaches!’ Since then, more and more cockroaches appear in his lab, from which there is no escape.
The movie begins with a father taking a horror comic book away from his son after yelling at him a lot and hurriedly sending it to the trash can. The offended son sees a skeleton outside the window, a guide to the world of horror, who turns the page of the comic book with a smile at the end of each novel. ‘You’ll know how to steal my comics,’ says the son, jabbing needles, with both anger and joy, into the voodoo toy. The father squirms in pain. This, in my opinion, is the 6th novelization that concludes this journey through the comic book. The film is shot with black humor, which gives a comic touch to the already naive horror. The movie is primarily for those who appreciate old horror movies.
