4k movies reviews
Went to the exclusive ‘Venom 2’ screening. I didn’t expect anything after the news about the age rating, the timing of 90 minutes and the impression after the first part.

But Andy Sirkis tried to make the film very cheerful, cheerful, and looked in one breath. There are no protracted topics with meaningless conversations and reasoning, as well as dead-end lines of minor characters. Although the humor remained PG-13, it became less childish and it became much more interesting to follow the relationship between Venom and Eddie. Slightly confused by the scene with the ‘agenda’ from the underground club, but nowadays this is the least that could have happened.

You can definitely watch the film, but there is one huge drawback – the presence of Karnaj in the picture. For me, and rather for all Spider-Man fans, this character left a mark even with the time of comics and the old animated series – a kind of super villain that I dreamed of seeing in the movies, since the days of the old ‘Spiders’ with Toby. As a result, there is very little of it, the story was distorted, like the character itself, although the symbiote’s design is beautiful. As a result, with the appearance of Karnaj, positive emotions disappear and the phrase ‘What did they do to my boy?’ Pops up in my head. Ideologically, emotionally and logically, this is a completely different character.

At such a moment, you ask yourself: ‘Why is such a great villain being altered and inserted into a picture with such a short timing?’. The answer is obvious and lies in the imminent release of the upcoming Spider-Man, with whom the studio has long wanted to connect the Venom universe. This is, of course, all very cool and exciting, but while neglecting the feelings of the fans and throwing the great villain in the trash is not the best idea. Result: a filler came out, nothing more. I’m sure I’m not the only one carrying such thoughts, so I’m disappointed.
