Harry and his father live on an island and are going through a difficult time. The older man has frequent outbursts of anger, and nature seems to be gradually going mad: dead birds are falling from the sky and fish are being thrown ashore. To understand the scale of the problem, their sister (and part-time ecologist) Audrey comes to visit them, but her return to the family only makes things worse. In the morning, her father, who had left home the day before, is found dead, and now the grieving relatives must face the terrible secrets of the area.
