In this surreal black comedy, Imamura stays true to his signature themes. Yoshimoto Ogata leads the stressful life of a pornographer by default: he shoots explicit films in his garage and in a field, lusts after his stepdaughter, hides from the police and the yakuza, and in his spare time discusses sex and gathers story ideas for his porn films by eavesdropping on his neighbors.
