The movie is based on the book by H.G. Bissinger. Odessa is a small town in the state of Texas. The main thing in it is the Permian High Panthers baseball team, where superstar player Mili Bobby started his career. The team has all but given up hope of winning, and only coach Gary Gaines believes that “Perfection is being able to look your friends straight in the eye and know that you did everything you could to not let them down.” The team must rise from the ashes and take the field again.
