4k movies reviews
Traditionally. How I found out about this movie or preface.

As a kid. And whoever reads my reviews. You know, I had a tumultuous childhood, both in terms of movies and in general. So I loved, when my parents weren’t around, to watch a horror movie on TV. And especially about vampires. And so I accidentally started watching a movie, I really didn’t know what kind, but I liked it. At least, judging from what I watched. I liked it. And I managed to see only ten minutes and I didn’t watch it any more, I gave it up. So that’s how years and as they say distance later. I found out about a horror movie with a very nice and kind title “Fright Night”. Oh, and it was difficult to find it. In Russia it is practically do not know. You know, it was even good because there are not a lot of opinions in the reviews and you can without imposition to look at it quietly and have been fully immersed in their emotions. And already be content with their opinions. But on the other hand. It is not clear if people liked the film. And whether it is good. Because before me all opinions were neutral. So I found this movie and I watched it.

About vampire movies.

Oh, how much has been made about these already boring vampires. And this movie was one of the first movies that started the popularity of these films. I mean, vampires are so stupid these days. The thing is, they’re supposed to suck blood and be afraid of the light. And thanks to this “Twilight,” bloodsuckers have turned into kind, lovable, refraining from blood handsome men. And that’s especially how a lot of people picture them now. Especially girls. And everything is a matter of taste, gentlemen and ladies. And so, thanks to them, many filmmakers have decided to at least revive that image of vampires. By the way, the remake of “Fright Night” is coming out soon and I’m waiting for it by the way. Well, we are talking about this movie and not about other movies. So in this movie the vampires are very good. Their traditional look is very good. Sometimes, though, it doesn’t look good. I mean, that’s what I mean in other movies about them. But in this film it’s beautiful. In fact, the whole movie has a kind of charm about it. Vampires in some movies are creepy and in some movies they’re just seductive. So here the vampire is handsome, his demonic look is mesmerizing. And actually this is by all criteria one of the best vampire movies ever made, at least I think so. True, there are better ones, but I can only remember one movie that is better. It’s “From Dusk Till Dawn.”

About the special effects.

That movie was made in 1985. My God, 1985. The special effects look very realistic these days. It’s kind of ridiculous, but the makeup is great. And by those standards, those effects must have looked fantastic.

About horror movies or these days they’re not scary at all.

Eh, there are some great horror movies nowadays. Which are scary and the last one does not make you fall asleep. Really, I don’t know any. There are really scary ones, but I sleep very well afterwards. And those scary ones you can count on the fingers. The ones that fill cinemas are funny. If I need a good laugh I watch horror movies. Sometimes better than comedies, they lift my spirits. Because the killer or if you will, the villain there is slow. The victims are stupid. And there’s a lot of blood and meat, like I said before. If they make a vampire movie and it’s violent, then the place of the killer is taken by the vampire. And everything else is the same. And before, movies about evil, and especially about vampires, were scary. And this one was no exception. But about that later.

About what I was expecting from “Fright Night.”

Well, a lot of friends who had seen this movie said it was very good, and I understood that. After watching it, I realized how popular it was overseas. I watched a lot of comedy movies, TV series, cartoon series, shows, and a lot of stuff. Where they parodied this tape. And now I understand what was parodied in them. After reading some reviews, foreign reviews. Where it is mentioned that it is a cult film, I understand why. But first things first.

What I liked this film, or the pros of the tape. To put it another way.

As I said before, the special effects are great. So is the makeup. Also, this movie is effective. Keeps the atmosphere. It’s funny. Because it’s a black comedy. Sometimes I just burst out laughing at some of the scenes. It’s just fun to watch. And the plot about the guy who thinks his neighbor is a vampire is original. But, the truth is there is no moral, as I didn’t look for it for the complete happiness and complete completeness of this tape, but no, I didn’t find it. Maybe it’s that if you think somehow and they don’t believe you, it could be a fluke. You have to check your opinion. And it doesn’t mean you’re wrong. That’s the way it is. Don’t judge harshly on this point.

Bottom line.

This is simply one of the best vampire movies ever made. It’s funny, atmospheric and very interesting. And there’s a moral to it, in my opinion. It has a lot of merits. You could go on and on and on. So I would advise everybody to watch it. There are many reasons for that. And one of them is that in this movie the vampires are believable and just traditional.
