1945. A U.S. military cargo plane suddenly loses control and crashes deep behind enemy lines in the middle of the German Black Forest. Major Johnson sends a squad to retrieve the top-secret material the plane was carrying. Led by Sergeant Brewer, the soldiers head deep into the woods near the crash site. Soon they discover hanged Nazi soldiers and other corpses with ancient magical symbols, and then are attacked by a powerful supernatural force.

The year is 1945. The story begins with an American plane flying over a small German town, hitting a pile of bird feathers (as if colliding with an air hen house), clogging the engines and eventually crashing. A small detachment of soldiers is sent to rescue the survivors, as well as to search for secret materials on board the aircraft, who could not even imagine what the hell they would have to face in the murky European woods…
A military horror film with a curious idea – to confront soldiers with witches. The flight of fancy of filmmakers is great and has no limits, and it is pleasant that there are still filmmakers who make such films. Besides, the idea in the film has a very realistic background: it is no secret that Hitler was fond of looking for occult artifacts, and the writers simply developed from this horror story and implemented on the big screen.
The plot involves a small group of soldiers hanging around the woods looking for an airplane, encountering the intrigues of witches pursuing their dark interests. Otherwise, the script is standard for this kind of movie with some character silliness, illogic, bloody scenes, jokes over 300 and the killing of one goofball after another. That said, the film is entertaining and easy to watch, aided by the quality staging and pleasing visuals.
Moral: There is no scarier evil than pissed-off housewives who get in the way of TV shows.
The final result is a horror film about a group of people in the middle of the woods, battling evil spirits. It’s good enough for one-time viewing, if you watch the movie for fun and don’t get hung up on the details.
